Overview
A pickaxe that breaks a whole 3×3 area instead of a single block. Configurable looks, radius and permissions.
GrzybcioKilof adds one special tool to a server: a pickaxe that breaks not one block but the whole area around it with every swing. 3×3 by default, but the radius can be increased.
The direction it cuts adapts to where the player is looking. Mine horizontally and you get a corridor three blocks wide and three tall. Look down and you get a shaft. Nothing to toggle.
Based on the code
This description is based on the code in the
Grzybcio-plugins/Grzybcio-Kilof
repository, api-version: 1.21.
What it does
- Breaks a 3×3 area around the block you hit (or larger — see Configuration).
- The mining plane follows the player's viewing angle — vertical or horizontal, in four compass directions.
- Broken blocks leave normal drops, so the tool speeds up the game without breaking its economy.
- It has a list of blocks it will not touch — bedrock by default.
- The pickaxe's appearance (name, lore, type, enchantments, glow) is set in a config file.
Requirements
| Requirement | Details |
|---|---|
| Server | Paper, Spigot or Purpur |
| Minecraft | 1.21 or newer (api-version: 1.21) |
| Other plugins | None — the plugin has no dependencies |
What it is not
This is not a land protection plugin. The pickaxe breaks everything within its area except blocks on the exclusion list. If your server has claims or regions (WorldGuard, GriefPrevention and so on), test on a spare world how those plugins react to many blocks breaking at once before handing the pickaxe to players.
